Marketing Intern - SVT Group

SVT seeks a Marketing Intern to assist with a variety of tasks in support of SVT’s impact advisory and field-building work overall. The duration of the internship is 6 months, and is open to undergraduate and graduate students studying related fields, and/or to individuals with at 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience. The position is fairly flexible and responsibilities will be adjusted for prior experience. We will approve school credit where appropriate.

Examples of internship tasks include:

  • Participate in definition and promotion of SVT Group brand

  • Develop a marketing plan for SVT Group across media

  • Help develop and maintain a consistent SVT voice through all communications

  • Develop this website, and our Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn feeds

  • Develop and improve Google Adwords campaigns

The Impact Management Academy is seeking a marketing intern. The Impact Management Academy is an exciting start-up initiative that builds upon SVT’s longtime commitment to capacity building. The purpose of the Academy is to make the impact management skills that are relevant to careers in the impact economy easier to identify and acquire, based on our conviction that impact measurement and management is at the center of the 21st century economy. In addition to the Academy as a resource for current and aspiring professionals, it’s also a platform where impact management content creators and industry leaders will converge to build consensus and momentum.

Research Intern – SVT Group

SVT Group is looking for bright, passionate, and curious interns to join our team for a 6-month internship with start dates on a rolling basis. 

We have a number of projects that range from research to video production, and are happy to work with our intern to determine a Scope of Work that is both mutually rewarding and exciting. The following are a few examples of potential projects:

  • Help us capture and calculate the ideal amount of time we should be spending in each area of our business (operations, business development, marketing, project work, etc.) in order to reach our revenue goals for next year.

  • Contribute to the development of an updated "Pulse of Impact Management" report by: (1) developing a list of prospective fiscal sponsors, (2) supporting outreach to those sponsors, (3) maintaining an online fundraising platform, (4) developing a list of potential interviewees, (5) supporting outreach to and interviews of those potential interviewees.

  • Perform other research into the demand for support related to social (including environmental) impact measurement, management and reporting/communications, among the following industries or others: Real estate development/construction; public health; philanthropy; impact investing; startups; and established publicly- or privately-held businesses.

  • Develop a database of client prospects, and/or update our knowledge base of past client projects.

  • Perform research into the demand for support related to social (including but not limited to environmental) impact measurement, management and reporting/communications, specifically although not necessarily exclusively among the following industries: Real estate development/construction; public health; philanthropy and/or impact investing; established, privately held businesses.

  • Assist, as needed, with client projects.

Since then she has worked with over 100 unique clients internationally, has taught over 5,700 individuals about impact management in person, and exposed at least 35,000 more to the concepts via writings and remote trainings. She is founding board member of Social Value United States and co-chair of the methodology subcommittee of Social Value International; has taught at Stanford Graduate School of Business, Middlebury Institute of International Studies, and others; and is the author of several publications on impact management. Sara earned her MBA from UC Berkeley and MSW from the University of Chicago. She lives with her daughter and partner in Silicon Valley.

David Pritchard

David advises non-profits, social enterprises, foundations, and public sector organizations on how to assess and increase their social impact. His advice builds on twenty five years of experience in the UK, the U.S., the European Union, and Australia. He was an economist for New York City government before joining consulting firms in Washington, DC and then London, prior to heading up New Philanthropy Capital’s measurement and evaluation team. David returned to the U.S. in 2014 where, alongside consulting, he has taught Master’s level courses in non-profit planning and evaluation.
